Four years after her last album, Britney Spears returned to the music industry in October 2007, with an album recorded throughout 2006 and 2007, entitled "Blackout," referring to 'blacking out negativity and embracing life fully'. The album features tracks from the likes of Bloodshy & Avant, who contribute "Piece Of Me," a self-aware commentary on the negative press surrounding her, alongside the likes of Danja, who produced the lead single, "Gimme More," which became her biggest USA Billboard hit since 1998.
