Stream Of Consciousness: Vegas & Renovations
17th May 2005
Dear Fans, Kevin and I had an amazing trip to Las Vegas. There is soo much to do there! It's like Disney World for adults! We celebrated his dad's 50th birthday with a delicious dinner on the outside patio of Ghostbar at the top of the Palms Hotel and we got to spend time with his family and some of our friends, plus went to see a few great shows. I'm glad to be back home though. Our house is still being renovated. Kevin thinks everyone will work faster if we stay at the house. All the construction is really loud in the morning; but, I feel he may be right. I can't wait for it to be finished - so far it's coming along beautifully! My mom and I are going to start talking about ideas this week for the baby's room. She is so gifted in decorating and interiro design and I'm grateful to have her help. I've also been thinking of different ideas for the prayer and meditation room. Everything is going so well lately - it literally brings me to my knees! I'm sorry to cut this short but I gotta go get my beauty sleep for the Ellen DeGeneres show and David Letterman Top 10 List taping tomorrow. Watch it if you can and don't forget to tune into our show on UPN, Tuesday night at 9pm! Love, Britney

"Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" - How It Started...
13th May 2005
Britney has spoken about how her up-coming reality TV show, "Britney & Kevin: Chaotic," came about saying, "We kind of used the camera to get to know each other better. I invited him to come see me in London. I didn't really know him that well and when I got the camera out, it made me feel better. This whole project got started with me holding a little camera and just taking it on tour with me. A lot of this footage was done a year ago. My husband and I were looking back at it and we thought we would share it with everybody." And on her husband, Kevin, she added, "I think my fans are going to fall completely in love with Kevin, just like I did. He's the sexiest thing in the world. He's a perfect husband. He's awesome."
"Sometimes" Law Suit
12th May 2005
According to a BBC news report, Britney is being sued over copyright for her 1999 hit, "Sometimes," which was written by Jorgen Eloffson. Steve Wallace, 34, says he wrote the song in 1990, but did not formally copyright the track until 2003. Alongside the complaint, filed at a federal court in Indianapolis, Mr Wallace submitted a copy of an e-mail allegedly written by pop star Spears, in which she allegedly admits that Mr Wallace wrote the song. Britney's record label Sony/BMG have refused to comment. Mr Wallace claims that a few weeks after writing the track in 1990, he executed what's known as a 'poor man's' copyright, sealing his work in an envelope and obtaining a postmarkwith it being offered to publishers in 1994. The lyrics of "Sometimes" are almost identical to those written by Mr Wallace, a side-by-side comparison submitted as evidence shows. Spears, 23, obtained a US copyright for Sometimes in January 1999. Mr Wallace's lawyer said he had previously tried to settle the case out of court.
"Britney & Kevin: Chaotic" Review
12th May 2005
UPN is fashioning dozens of hours of Britney's home-videos into a reality series being rushed on the air Tuesday (9pm ET/PT) to give the network an extra push to end the regular TV season. "Other reality shows have followed Farrah or Paris & Nicole," executive producer Susan Zirinsky says. "This didn't set out to be a reality show; it became one after the fact." She interviews her assistant, bodyguards and other members of her entourage, and turns the camera on herself, sitting in a makeup chair. "It's almost as if the camera is part of the relationship," Zirinsky says. "At first, it's a goof; it's a vehicle for fun." But later it's like therapy: "She sort of steps back and is scared of her relationship, scared of committing, and he tries to help. Sometimes it's easier to ask a question when you're looking into a viewfinder. Some of it's really shaky," says Zirinsky, who is also executive producer of CBS' 48 Hours news. "I think people don't know who she really is. She doesn't feel sorry for herself. But no one is going to be able to walk away from this and not think she's adorable. This is raw, and this is very much her story."After premiering with a one-hour episode Tuesday, the series will air for three weeks before an hour-long finale on June 14th.

The pregnancy test that Britney allegedly used to confirm her pregnancy, was sold late last week by Ottawa's The New Hot 89.9 FM to New York-based on-line casino, GoldenPalace.com. The winning $5001 (£2500) e-mail bid arrived just seconds before the 5pm close, beating the current bidder by $501. GoldenPalace.com are famous for paying close to $30,000 (£15,000) for a grilled-cheese sandwich, made in 1994 by a Florida woman that purportedly bears the image of the Virgin Mary, and for purchasing a rock with "the face of Jesus on it."

Stream Of Consciousness: Downtime In Arizona
4th May 2005
Dear Fans, I think Arizona has to be one of the most healing places on Earth. Kevin and I were there for two peaceful and relaxing weeks. Our house was on the top of a mountain and was absolutely breathtaking. I lived at the spa and gym! Being in the desert does something to my soul. Every time I go there I have the most amazing expierences. My dad and my cousin, Laura Lynne, came to visit us for a few days. We saw Ashton Kutcher's new movie, "A Lot Like Love," which was adorable. We also ate at some amazing restaurants in Scottsdale. Eating for two is so much fun; I get to eat lots and lots! Mine and Kevin's new UPN series is coming out soon - May 17th to be exact! Doing a documentary series seemed like the last thing I would do. Having our series be compared to all the "reality shows" on television right now and putting ourselves out there seemed crazy, but that is exactly when I realised I should do it. The craziest things I've ever done have always been the best for the best. The incentive behind me doing this series wasn't for my career. So much happened last year - too much, too fast - and I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to reflect on all of it. It's like my own therapy. I hope you guys enjoy our little project! We are having so much fun putting it all together! Well, I have to call my mom now - It's her 50th birthday today! It's time to party, Mom. I love you so much!

The track will also be the theme to the show.
