She also revealed, in an interview with "The Guardian," how her band-mate Heidi Range often borrows her Bible to help her overcome her fear of flying. Sugababes Speak About 2009 Plans & More

19th December 2008

Sugababes have spoken about their plans for 2009 and their love for the most recent album, "Catfights & Spotlights," which has only sold around 80,000 copies in the UK so far, leading to reports that Heidi and the girls are unhappy with the way it has been promoted (Heidi was quoted as saying, "The sales have been disappointing but I don't think it is a reflection on the album. The problem is the promotion, I don't actually think our fans know it's out."). Keisha said, "No, she didn't actually say that. Basically I think this is the best album we've done with this lineup. I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say that we wouldn't change a thing. A top ten album is really good and that's what we got. People put too much emphasis on having a number one - we've done that every year for the past eight years. For us, if we'd got into the top ten with a really crap album it would have been more painful. I would love to see 'Every Heart Broken' as the third single. I think concept-wise it's something that we've never really spoken about before and again it shows a completely different side to the album." Keisha also revealed the girls are working on a new album in 2009 after a break, saying, "We're going to be working with producers who've worked with Beyoncé and Rihanna so we're really looking forward to next year. We'd also love to work with Cee-Lo from Gnarls Barkley. We want to start in February and take about a year to write it. However, if everything goes well and we get a massive single, then we'll come back earlier."

Sugababes Talk About Sixth Album Sound

13th August 2008

Sugababes talked to photographers and journalists on the red carpet at the launch of the new Shockwaves hair products campaign, which features the girls as the stars, and will see them appearing in advertisements, last night, talking about their new album and new single, and new direction. The girls said, "The single is called "Girls," which is a sample from a song you'd recognise with the Booys. We co-wrote most, well, we re-wrote the song - the sample is the original part, but the verses are our own. It's different - it's not electropop anymore - some of the songs are a bit more mellower, and they show our vocal ability a bit more, showing us doing things we don't normally do. It's just a bit more of a maturer sound, if you know what that means. It's evolved. We feel really happy and content with it, and hope people like it, we've still got so much more left to do, but we hope people like it."
