“Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know” will be released on the 26th March in the UK as a 2CD set and cassette. The limited edition CD2 will feature the video, directed by Herb Ritts, as an enhanced feature, whilst all formats will feature remixes of the track.
Britney has teamed up with legendary photographer/director Herb Ritts on the video for the ballad “Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know,” her fourth video from her second album. Herb said “Britney just wanted to do something fresh. There was one outfit, no dancing, and that meant that it boiled down to her. She really had to act the song, and she was very impressive. I shot it outside of Miami on an isolated beach. We built a funky beach shack. The story is, pretty much, Britney longing for him to tell her the words. The chemistry between them was great. They got along terrificly.”
The video, which Britney says “was the funnest video I’ve ever done,” will debut on MTV in mid-February, before she jets to Europe to start work on her third album.
