Britney spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” about plans for recording her new album (she reveals she’d like to work with Gwen Stefani, Steve Tyler and Lenny Kravitz and that she is at the very beginning process of “just kind of feeling it out.”), Mardi Gras ( “I think New Orleans has a very strong sense of soul here; I am honored to be part of the celebration – it is so important for this amazing city to continue its annual traditions.”) and “Will & Grace” ( “It’s one of my favorite shows on TV; Sean Hayes is hilarious!”).

Dolly Parton speaks about Britney

Dolly Parton, who is currently promoting her album, “These Were The Days” around the world, and celebrating her 25th country #1 single in the USA, said of Britney, “Oh, I think she’s great. If I looked like that, I wouldn’t need to do all of this stuff. But she’s a great singer, who makes great records. I have to admire any of the things that, you know, people are doing that’s their creative expression. And she’s a beautiful girl.”

Britney plans 2006 comeback

Britney will appear on the cover of “People” magazine this week, discussing her marriage, her child and her career, following criticism for holding Sean Preston on her lap whilst driving last week. Jamie Bufalino, from “People,” said of the incident, “It’s been a very unfortunate incident for her and her family. Doting mother Britney would never put her precious baby boy at risk; he’s her pride and joy, and she revealed that he’s the inspiration behind her desire to get back in the studio and record a new album. She’s really re-discovered her talent for singing by singing to Sean Preston.” In addition to a new album, which Britney said to expect by the end of the year, she’s getting back into her “pre-baby shape by doing a combination of cardio, yoga, Pilates and weight lifting.”

Britney to appear on “Good Morning America” for Mardi Gras

Louisiana native, Britney Spears, will celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans later this month, as the city rebuilds and stregthens. “I am honored to be a part of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans this year. It is so important for this amazing city to continue its annual traditions and I am really looking forward to being involved.” Britney will appear on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on 28th February, when the morning show reports live from New Orleans. ABC announced that she will bring “surprises for a group of very deserving young residents.”

Kevin denies second pregnancy rumours

Despite being denied by Britney’s spokesperson, certain publications are still printing rumours that Britney is pregnant with her second child. Kevin, when questioned backstage at Mariah Carey and JD’s post-Grammy awards party on the subject, said, “It will be a few years before I’m a father again.”

Britney responds to driving criticism

On Monday, photos surfaced of Britney Spears driving her SUV in Malibu with her son, Sean Preston, sitting on her lap behind the wheel, raising concerns because her young son was not in a car seat. Britney told “People” magazine, with regards to the incident: “Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him.”

“Will & Grace” storyline news

NBC has denied that the press release they issued with regards to the Britney storyline in “Will & Grace” is accurate, following outcry from certain Christian traditional family groups, such as the American Family Association. A new press release from NBC states, “the information was mistakenly included in a press release describing an upcoming episode of “Will and Grace” which, in fact, has yet to be written. The reference to ‘Cruci-fixin’s’ will not be in the show and the story line will not contain a Christian characterisation at all, but Britney will appear.”

Publicist denies second pregnancy reports

Britney’s publicists has quashed rumours that she is pregnant for a second time, saying there is no truth in any of the rumours, which stated that Britney had told friends she was pregnant with her second child.

Britney to star in “Will & Grace”

Britney Spears will guest star on an episode of “Will and Grace,” playing a Christian conservative sidekick to Sean Hayes’ character, Jack, who hosts his own talk show, on an episode due to screen in the US on 13th April. Jack’s fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called “Cruci-fixin’s.” The episode will air, and be available on DVD, in the UK, later this year.
