Danilo Promotions, who manufacture calendars and cards in the UK and Europe, have confirmed on their tentative list of up-coming releases that there are plans to license an official Britney Spears calendar for next year. Britney was not on last year’s list, and an official calendar was not produced for 2006.
Ne-Yo, who recently scored a #1 album, and is currently riding high in the UK with his track, “So Sick,” revealed to Channel 4 yesterday that he has been asked to write for Britney. He was asked if he believed the rumours that she was pregnant, and said, “I hope not! I only just got asked to write some songs for her new stuff!”
In a recent MTV interview, Jive Records hip-hop artist, T-Pain, who is currently riding high in the USA charts with “I’m N Luv (Wit’ A Stripper),” reveals he has been asked to write and produce for fellow Jive artists, Nick Lachey and Britney Spears. T-Pain says, of being asked to work on tracks for Britney, “I think they’re just calling a bunch of producers and saying, ‘Do something for Britney’,” adding, “I’m going to keep her sound poppy.”
Madonna is interviewed in gay magazine, “Out,” and mentions how her daughter, Lourdes, discusses sexuality, and talks about how she was called “gay” for kissing Britney at the 2003 MTV VMAs. Madonna says she responded to Lourdes, by saying, “No, it just means I kissed Britney Spears. I am the mommy pop star and she is the baby pop star. And I am kissing her and passing my energy onto her. Like kind of a mythological fairy tale.”
