“Behold the beauty of the tiger”

“Tiger! Tiger! Burning bright, In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye could frame thy fearful symmetry?” – William Blake

“In some ways, people are a lot like animals. We all hunger for the same things. Love, lust, danger, warmth and adventure. Like people, animals all have their own rhythm to life. I’m mesmerised by tigers. Their eyes, their stripes, their constant quest for survival. They almost have a sense of mysteriousness about them. They pull you in and make it difficult to look away. They make you wonder what is behind their gaze. A sense of eerie awe comes over you in their presence. The fear they give you when you pass them is stunning. Behold the beauty of the tiger.”

“Harper’s Bazaar” interview

Three months before the birth of her second child, Britney Spears is looking forward, not back. This doesn’t mean, sadly, that she needn’t look behind her. Before she arrived at Bazaar’s New York cover shoot in late June, her driver had to circle the block several times to elude six paparazzi cars and bikes, one of which almost collided with her SUV, leaving Britney in tears. When she recently dyed her hair black, perhaps in an attempt to take the dogs off the scent, her publicists were flooded with calls asking, “But isn’t that bad for the baby?” (Note: It’s a vegetable dye.)

“Harper’s Bazaar” interview excerpt

Britney told “Harper’s Bazaar”, that, despite being naked on the front cover of the magazine,”you don’t feel the most beautiful all the time being pregnant.” Whilst pregnancy is “empowering,” she felt unprepared and “paranoid” first time round – but this time “I was like, I’ve just got to wing it. It was weird for me at first because of who I am. Wherever you go, they expect you to look a certain way. I’m not supposed to be this big huge pregnant superstar.” She describes Sean Preston as a “rocker kid” and the inspiration for the line of baby clothes she’s designing. “Hopefully, next year we’ll have a fashion show, maybe at Disney World, She is also looking forward to returning to music, “After this baby,” she says, “I’m going to get really intense with it.” She “can’t wait” to perform again, “but I really have to take my time and do it right and be safe,” she says. “Actually, not that safe. When you perform, you have to be dangerous.” She also plans to collaborate with Kevin. “I’m so proud of him,” she says. “He’s been working so hard on his album since I got pregnant with Preston. I’m so lucky. He’s a doll; he’s adorable.”
