Laura Wasser, Britney’s divorce lawyer, has confirmed that Britney and Kevin Federline are officially divorced, with the proceedings being finalised today. Wasser said that Britney was “OK” with the terms of the divorce (Federline is receiving spousal support), but would have liked to have had more time with her children, as opposed to the joint custody arrangement that has been put in place. The terms of the divorce have been kept private, as Wasser fears, if the document becomes public domain, the media would have “a greater ability to ascertain the physical whereabouts of the children.”
She added “such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the minor children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing the minor children to criminals who might target the minor children for financial gain.”
The music video Britney is currently shooting is reportedly for a song entitled “Gimme More.” The track will be the first single to be taken from her fifth album which will be her first studio album in 4 year. Britney was reportedly seen dancing around a pole in a black cropped leather jacket top, fishnet stockings and a black leather miniskirt on the set.
Despite stating that ‘the truth would be told’, leading to the belief that the photoshoot and interview Britney did with “OK!” magazine would be used, neither appear in this week’s issue of the magazine, amidst speculation that Britney’s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter preventing them from running it following the influx of negative press around it. In place of the interview and photoshoot is an article, accompanied by previously used paparazzi photographs of Spears, stating a report of the supposed ‘meltdown’ from the day.
Amidst rumours that Britney took part in a disastrous photoshoot and interview for “OK!” magazine USA, they have confirmed that they will be running the interview and photoshoot in full. Editor-in-Chief Sarah Ivens said “‘OK!’ magazine spent a heartbreaking day with Britney Spears and witnessed first-hand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad. This week, on newsstands Friday, the truth will be told.”
Slim K, who is featured in Britney’s new music video, posted the following message on his official MySpace about the first day of shooting, saying “I was quite impressed and surprised by the song… definitely a clubbanger, a jaw-dropper, absolutely catchy hook, and it’s not “Get Back” or “Topix” or whatever it’s been written allover the net so far… it’s a fresh, new, tight style I haven’t heard from Britney before.”

A slightly adapted version of Britney’s letter to the X17 paparazzi agency, apologising for the incident earlier in the year, has been posted on her official web site, saying “I apologise to the pap for a stunt that was done 4 months ago regarding an umbrella. I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away. Unfortunately I didn’t get the part.”
