“Scream & Shout” has climbed to #1 in the official UK singles chart this week, having sold over 400,000 copies since it was released late last year. This gives Britney her first UK #1 single since 2004’s “Everytime” and becomes her sixth UK #1 single in total; she now has at least one UK #1 in each of the past three decades, having released “…Baby One More Time” in 1999.
Britney and Jason Trawick have officially separated after being engaged for a year. According to sources the relationship ended in a friendly way just after Christmas last year and that the two simply ‘grew apart’. The source added “Jason didn’t want to make the announcement until he was taken off the conservatorship.” Jason Trawick was removed as one of Britney’s conservators this afternoon, leaving her father, Jamie Spears, as sole conservator. “Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement,” Britney said in a statement. “I’ll always adore him and we will remain great friends.” Jason Trawick added “as this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.”
Britney has officially resigned from her judging spot on “The X Factor” USA saying today “I’ve made the very difficult decision not to return for another season. I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens, but it’s time for me to get back in the studio. Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can’t wait to get back out there and do what I love most.”
