William Orbit talks about “Alien”

William Orbit has spoken to “NME” magazine about his work on “Britney Jean” saying “I’ve done one song for the new album, called ‘Alien’, which is really good. I’ll be in Vegas, seeing the show. I’ve become a huge fan of hers, actually. I always liked her, but when I started to dig into her repertoire – and there’s masses of it – I became a superfan, really. You’ll find me in the audience singing along.”

Britney’s birthday dedication

Dear fans
It’s that time of year again when we pause to reflect upon what we’re thankful for. I’m thankful to have the most amazing fans in the world who have been there for me through everything!

December is a busy month for me. My new album, Britney Jean, drops on 3rd December. My Las Vegas show, Britney: Piece of Me, kicks off 27th December at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. And, on 2nd December, it’s my birthday!

This year, I’m doing something different for my birthday. I’m dedicating it to the kids of St. Jude. Help me out by not buying me a gift this year. Buy them a gift instead — the gift of another birthday. Why St. Jude? Since opening in 1962, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. That’s right: the best care in the world, for free, because of people like us. Now that’s something worth celebrating.

Let’s get this party started.
Love always, Britney

“Rolling Stone” talks “Britney Jean”

Larry Rudolph, Britney’s manager, will.i.am and Sia spoke to “Rolling Stone” about “Britney Jean” and her forthcoming Vegas show.

“It really became like Will quasi-interviewing her,” Larry said. “I would ask her questions about her trials, tribulations, relationships. Sometimes I’d write songs; some of them came from other people. But Britney wrote a lot of the songs,” will.i.am added. Britney told Larry” “I want Will to be a central figure in the album; I don’t want to have hundreds of songs sent over.”

“Britney was extremely sweet. She came in with the title ‘Brightest Morning Star’ and told me that’s how Jesus found his way. She wanted to write a kind of gospel song that wasn’t ramming it down your throat,” said Sia of the songwriting process.

Larry Rudolph said that the Vegas run fits into Spears’ family life, compared to touring. “Now that she’s a mother, it’s a whole lot less wear and tear on her. It’s a thing that can continue for a while pretty effortlessly. Right now, she’s committed to the idea of getting out there and killing it.”
