If U Seek Amy

UK release date 4th May 2009    Highest UK chart position #20    UK sales 105,000

Britney reunited with Max Martin for the first time since 2002’s “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman” for the controversial “If U Seek Amy.” The song was the third most downloaded song from “Circus” throughout the end of 2008 and won an official fan poll to become the third single. Following criticism from various American family groups to boycott the track, the track was censored to “If U See Amy” for radio stations across the globe with BBC Radio 1’s edit removing the line completely.
